Overview:
Here are the quick instructions for utilizing Template 010 (link) Staff Association Staff Section.
Make sure to read the general reporting information for templates before proceeding. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in errors and/or data validation issues.
Before Beginning, Note:
All steps will be completed in Row 7, downwards.
Instructions:
1. Enter the SchoolYear for the data being submitted (2024).
This is NOT the calendar year.
2. Enter the SchoolID.

3.Enter the staff SPN of who is teaching or responsible for each individual course.
Note: Make sure to format any cells with numbers as TEXT.
4. Enter the exact SessionName that you provided from the Calendar Templates (001, 002, 003 )Master Schedule templates (004, 005) and Student Section Association Template (017).
Staff section records are matched to student section records to create the relationship (or association) to the students scheduled in their class(es).
Term descriptors must match across calendar, master schedule data, staff, and student section records.
If you need it for reference again, the allowable term descriptors are listed below on the green chart.
Note: These descriptors are case and space sensitive.

5. Enter the BeginDate & EndDate that a staff is assigned to each individual course.
These should be formatted as [MM/DD/YYYY].
Note: Spreadsheets will often auto-format dates. Be sure to format the cell to “TEXT”.
6. Enter the exact LocalCourseCode you provided on the Master Schedule Course Offerings Template (004) and Master Schedule Section Template (005).
Remember, this must be an exact match, including case and spacing provided.
7. Enter the SectionIdentifier that was provided on the Master Schedule Section Template (005).
Formatting Note: This must match the case and spacing used.
8. Enter the ClassroomPositionDescriptor of the staff member managing each course using the yellow chart below.
Formatting Note: These code values are case and space sensitive; provide the code value (left column), not the text name in the definition.

NOTE: combined Core Academic Elementary and Core Academic Junior High, Middle or Secondary School and Non-Core Academic Instruction teacher into Primary Special Education teacher. |
EL Co-Teacher | Multilingual (EL) teacher works within the classroom with the general education teacher providing instruction. |
EL Consultant Teacher | Multilingual (EL) teacher provides consultation to the general education teacher. |
EL Primary Teacher | Multilingual (EL) teacher is the primary teacher for any grade level classroom. |
EL Resource Teacher | Multilingual (EL) teacher provides direct assistance to students in a segregated setting after students have received instruction from the primary teacher. |
Remember: Templates must be saved as a CSV file (with cells formatted as TEXT) inside of a Compressed Zipped Folder, in order to process correctly.
