While publishing the SPED data for summer withdrawn students and no show students. Should we be publishing SEORA as well?
SPED record will have an end date to the program and reason; SSA will be one day mobility - no SEORA record is required
Schools reporting they are sending a specialedprogramassociation with idea eligibility of false and being contacted by other schools they need to have a termination date because it is causing a conflict. How should this be handled?
SE program association data - schools need a way to suppress the record when they are not reporting the student for funding.
When should an SE record be ended?
IDOE recommends ending the SE program record with a code “99” anytime the program and or student exceptionality changes.
If a Special Ed student has a change in their SpEd program name or Primary or Secondary disabilities, can the exit date (Termination date) of the old program and entry date(program start date) of the new program be the same? Example 8-9-23 for exit date of old and 8-9-23 for entry date of new program.
You will need to end the program record on one date and then begin the new program the following day. Not necessary to end for a disability change if the program is the same. You will also need to end the program record and begin a new one the following day if the school ID changes since EdOrgID is unique to the record
If a student is evaluated and does not qualify, does that student also need a TR record?
Yes, Provide an exit date when the student is determined ineligible and code 99. Leave the program as undefined.
