We have scheduled Virtual Planned Asynchronous or Synchronous days once a month for the next three or four months for PD. How should my calendar be set up and how should students be marked for attendance?

The calendar date should be reported with the accurate calendar event descriptor; Virtual Planned - Asynchronous or Virtual Planned - Synchronous. Students participating in virtual instruction should be reported with attendance event descriptor virtual. Students not participating in instruction should be reported with an absence per local policy.

Can I set a student's last date (exit date) after the last day of school?

Students cannot have enrollment exit dates after the last day of the school calendar. This will cause AT-1 error message.

What graduation date should schools use for students who graduate outside of the school year or typical graduation date?

Graduation date (diploma award date) can be the date the student is awarded the diploma, the date of the graduation ceremony. It does not have to be a school calendar date.

PreK student attends our school for the afternoon, but goes to public early learning center for services in the AM three out of five days per week. How do we handle attendance on the days he is at both schools?

Each school reports attendance data for the student. Attendance is considered a full day on the days the student is scheduled and expected. If the student is scheduled for afternoons only 3 days/week and full day 2 days/week then the student would be counted as in attendance for all 5 days. One school is identified as primary ‘true’ and one school is identified as primary ‘false’. Attendance provided from each school does not affect the other school.

To submit Credit Recovery grades on Template 029_StudentTranscript template, do we need to upload any other template? Because the Term column on 029 template is required and has a note that states "The term must match the term provided on the student section association template(020)". Since CR grades don't have any section id associated with them do we need to add a section for teachers associated with these grades in our SIS?

using template 029 to report those students not scheduled accurately or school is not able to provide staff and student section data may report any term that already exists from their calendar information - most schools have a Fall Semester, Spring Semester, or Year Round; if high school courses are being submitted most would use Fall Semester to provide the first outcome of the course and Spring Semester to provide the second outcome of the course; otherwise if using Year Round make sure to provide a SUM of the credits earned if reporting for both semester outcomes. And yes, you would need to add a section for teachers associated with those grades in your SIS.

Do we need to report our Special Education students on the termination record that were no shows for the school year? We exited them with the entry/exit date of 7/1. If we do need to report them on the termination record, how would we go about doing that?

Schools should be reporting all termination reasons for any student they were servicing and are no longer servicing including 'no shows'. To submit the data a one day school association prior to the calendar should have been provided to show the mobility; if not then this will need to be done, then a SE program record needs to be provided with the end date and termination reason.

Can private schools still have regular e-Learning Days or do they need to be virtual to count as a school day?

Planned 'E-Learning' days where a teacher is engaged less than 50% of the day would be Virtual Planned - Asynchronous and the attendance for students will be Virtual (penalty in statute regarding the synchronous vs asynchronous is for public schools only).
