How to Enable Access to IDOE Systems & the LINK Portal

 

Note: To submit a Staff Contact Record, a Staff Record (SPN) must exist in the Ed-ID system.

Connecting Staff to the LINK portal, a Staff Ed Org Contact Association Record must be sent.

  • Provide an accurate Staff Ed-ID (SPN)

  • Report the accurate LEA/Corp ID or the School ID

  • Report the Contact Title as Unified Access (always); this identifies the staff needing access to the LINK portal

  • Provide an accurate work email address matching to the IDOE LINK portal domain established during the initial setup of the education organization in Data Exchange

    • This should not be a personal email address

  • Access to LINK portal is terminated when end dates are provided on the Staff Ed Org Assignment Association record

  • Access to what tiles in the LINK portal is determined by the staff classification provided on the Staff Ed Org Assignment Association record. Changes to the classification may change access within the LINK portal.

Note: NOT all staff require a contact association record; only those needing access to an IDOE system through the LINK portal.
