UPDATED 2/23/2026: Per dev - The validation messages come from each validation so messages from each historical validation will update to show what they were at that point in time, however, the fields for Roster and Valid comes from the roster counts which will only ever be the current roster and valid counts. To help with clarity, dev will add text to those headers to read "Latest Roster" and "Latest Valid."  

UPDATE 2/25/2026: It has been decided to hide static totals when viewing prior validations. Totals for Valid and Roster will appear as N/A.

Weapon codes not landing in ODS

UPDATE 2/10/2026 - Issues with students exited on 2/2/26 being excluded has been resolved. Validation needed to certify. Schools with students entered on 2/3 certifying in error have been contacted by School Finance.

ME-2 triggers stating that SEORA responsibility is Attendance. Rules notes has been updated --UPDATE: Additional -reason for this exclusion might be the SEORA record has 'funding' BUT has been ended accurately so the system views this as null/blank indicating no funding which will cause ME-2 to be provided.

IDOE has discovered that more than 18,000 records are reported with the School Accountability School ID using the old 4-digit code rather than the DEX 10-digit School ID. Please review the data in your SIS to ensure that the Accountability School ID is entered in the SIS as the 10-digit code. Work with your vendor if you don’t know how to make this correction.

Affecting SAT rostering for 11th graders. May affect placement of accountability for students.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This issue is not something that IDOE will be correcting. The only way this concern can be corrected is for the data entered into the SIS to be corrected. It is therefore immediately important that attention be given to reviewing the Accountability School ID entered into the SIS and correction be made to SIS and resent to DEX.

For February certification updates will be made to rule logic to not view historical GR records reported with ‘excluded’ status. Those historical GR records with ‘certified’ status will be viewed and will still cause ME-7. Those will need to be addressed through a help ticket.

Foreign Exchange

Additional Student Summary Grid is not populating Foreign Exchange counts

IDOE is aware of Foreign Exchange students not calculating in the AD summary grid and is making a correction in the system to show these counts for July certification.

Ed-ID Requestor Role

We are aware that some are receiving 403 errors delivered back via API for staff members assigned the Ed-ID Requestor role

Ed-ID tile will be missing from the LINK portal.

Staff records provided to DEX must first have either a staff employment or a staff assignment record provided to create the relationship for reporting the staff record. Also, the staff ID must first exist in Ed-ID.

Data Viewer Role

Allows users to create, update, and request merges in Ed-ID
