Additional Student Programs: General Reporting Info

Additional Student Association Programs data is collected in compliance with Federal and State code:

  • Reporting students identified and serviced, K-12, in high ability areas IC 20-36 and 511 IAC 6-9.1

  • Reporting students with active military duty parents or guardians IC 20-19-3-9.4

  • ESSA requires disaggregation by 504 in reporting data

  • ESSA requires disaggregation by Foster in reporting data

  • Public schools (Traditional and Charter)

  • IN School for the Blind and IN School for the Deaf

Additional Student Program Association data may be provided any time throughout each school year. Identified Additional Student Programs for certification must be provided and verified for accuracy by June 30. These include High Ability, Homeless, Unaccompanied Youth, Section 504, Parent in Military, Foster, and Foreign Exchange.

Note: Local Corporations make the decision if AP/Honors classes are part of the high ability program (not all students enrolled in AP/Honor classes are considered Gifted & Talented/High Ability).

Student of Parent/Guardians in Armed Forces

Had parent(s) that are or were active duty members of any Branch of the Armed Forces (Active Duty, National Guard and Reserve, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard). Report the student for the entire year even if the parent becomes inactive during the school year OR if the parent becomes active during the school year AND you are notified; otherwise report the student the following year when data is collected for the new school year.
