Course Outcomes

Multiple locations

Prior to the beginning of the 25-26 school year, the section ID was added to the course transcript record with the intention of schools being able to report and certify multiple outcomes of the same course code in the same term. Earlier this year, it was discovered that in the current ed-fi version, the section ID is not unique to the record; meaning that if there are multiple attempts of the same state course code in the same term, schools must average the outcomes and combine the credits as they have in the past. Alternatively, schools may work with their SIS vendor support to set up mini terms. Guidance regarding the use of the section ID to report multiple outcomes of the same course code in the same term has been removed.
