FAQ: Title I

Non-public schools do not provide the following data points: Additional Student Programs of High Ability, Homeless, Unaccompanied Youth, Foster, 504, or Military Family, and Special Education Termination, Title I, Alt-Ed, Other Personnel, Discipline, and Special Education Evaluation.

Non-public, Non-accredited schools do not report data to IDOE via Data Exchange.

Schools must report those title-serviced students in one of the public school title buildings and IDOE will pick up the non-pub school enrollment to know where the student is actually attending.

You will need to submit the Student Title I Part A Program Association Template (024). In addition the student reported must have an association to the reporting education organization via a student school (enrollment) record. This will require template 015 Student School Association.

These students are enrolled in a program building not identified as a title school and can therefore not be reported in a title program. Students must be reported a one of the schools in the corporation that is identified as Title I. Grade level of the student does not matter. Students will need a studentSchoolAssociation (enrollment) record at the Title I school that will then allow the Title I program record to be successfully submitted.

This error message means that schools cannot report a school Id that does not belong under their corporation - schools must have an enrollment record with the school identified as primary 'false' to provide the title program data. Please note that there are no grade exceptions with DEX so students do not have to be associated to a school that serves their grade level.
