Students placed for homebound services and associated with a homebound program for more than 20 aggregate days in a school year receiving additional funding. Homebound students being provided educational services are to have all data reported same as any other student. Homebound students are counted and certified for all datasets reported including membership.
Per School Accountability (IDOE business owner for attendance) has confirmed the attendance for students attending via zoom or other virtual platform would be reported with 'virtual' attendance code; if the student exceeds 50% of their attendance as virtual they will need to be identified with virtual program. Homebound students should be scheduled in each subject code they are receiving instruction. The TOR may not see them each day but they should have a schedule for each course.
Homebound/Hospitalized program record must be end at the end of the school year when services continue through last day of the school year. A new program record would then be added if services continue the following year. In the instance where homebound services do not continue no program record should be provided in the following school year. If the student’s homebound/hospitalized services ended the previous year but no end date and reason was provided, then provide the program record with begin and end date prior to the first day of school in the new year.
